The Exchange Square development consisted of 603 new luxury apartments forming the first phase of a new residential and lifestyle destination in central Birmingham.

Mast climbing proved to be the smart choice for this new build in Birmingham. The units on site allowed the team to manoeuvre the platforms to the optimal working height for bricklaying, meaning tradesmen were always working comfortably and with no delays. 

With scaffolding, there are fixed levels, and as the brickwork moves up the façade, workers have to stretch, stoop and bend, putting their bodies as risk. This problem is removed with a mast climber making it an ideal vertical access option for the bricklaying trade.

BFT had, at its peak,19 positions on site, made up if 37No. BFT 120 drive units, giving access to the site in the same model of the machine throughout.
