BFT is proud to announce a new £500,000 training centre that will provide unrivalled, state-of-the-art training for our staff.
We are converting 1200 metres squared of our warehouse space into a training facility and workshop.
There will be seven engineering bays for maintenance servicing, one hoist maintenance bay, one inspection and weight test bay and an electrical area for control unit repairs.
This investment in our facilities highlights our commitment to providing the safest mast climbing services for the construction industry in the UK and beyond.
Based in Leighton Buzzard and Manchester, we can deliver the highest quality of training and safety standards from these new premises, cementing our status as the UK leader in platform access solutions.

What can our training centre do?

Of the very few occasions when a callout is required, over 90% of these requests are down to operator error. Our machines simply do not just break down. The vast majority of these errors are easy to fix. This is why our IPAF Operator and Demonstrator training, delivered from our IPAF-accredited Instructors, carries out stringent training tests for every operator. Our new facility has a dedicated classroom and theory area to ensure that our safety training is at its most rigorous and comprehensive. By keeping callouts to an absolute minimum, we want to save time and money for customers who depend on our equipment to access buildings at height.

Don’t worry, we can still come out to site and complete training on your equipment if you prefer!

What about our new maintenance facilities?

Every machine that has been involved with a project goes through the same process. It is stripped down and has a thorough inspection as per our comprehensive servicing procedure quality manual. We repaint the machinery if required and it is given a full maintenance check. These tests are signed off by one of our qualified and in-house Engineers, who are among the most knowledgeable and skilled experts in their profession. With this work taking place in our new centre, it provides a one-stop shop for expertly maintaining and improving our equipment on a constant basis.

Why have we done this?

BFT is proud of our safety record. We are noticing an increase in mast climbing popularity across the industry, which is why it is important to continually refresh and reinvest in our safety and training protocols.
We want to increase understanding of what mast climbing equipment is and how it should be inspected, tested and maintained. That is why we invite contractors to visit our new facility. We want you to gain first-hand experience of how our superb equipment can safely and securely carry out important building access works that can save time and money when compared with scaffolding.

If you are interested in visiting our new Leighton Buzzard facility, all you need to do is get in touch and we would be delighted to show you around our fantastic new centre.
We are passionate about mast climbing in the construction industry, and the tangible benefits it can provide for any number of projects.
When you come and visit, we know you will be able to see our passion for mast climbers for yourself!
